| [58] Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. | Иисус сказал им: истинно, истинно говорю вам: прежде нежели был Авраам, Я есмь. |
| [59] Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. | Тогда взяли каменья, чтобы бросить на Него; но Иисус скрылся и вышел из храма, пройдя посреди них, и пошел далее. |

| [1] And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. | И, проходя, увидел человека, слепого от рождения. |
| [2] And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? | Ученики Его спросили у Него: Равви?! кто согрешил, он или родители его, что родился слепым? |
| [3] Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. | Иисус отвечал: не согрешил ни он, ни родители его, но это для того, чтобы на нем явились дела Божии. |
| [4] I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. | Мне должно делать дела Пославшего Меня, доколе есть день; приходит ночь, когда никто не может делать. |
| [5] As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. | Доколе Я в мире, Я свет миру. |
| [6] When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, | Сказав это, Он плюнул на землю, сделал брение из плюновения и помазал брением глаза слепому, |
| [7] And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. | и сказал ему: пойди, умойся в купальне Силоам, что значит: посланный. Он пошел и умылся, и пришел зрячим. |
| [8] The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? | Тут соседи и видевшие прежде, что он был слеп, говорили: не тот ли это, который сидел и просил милостыни? |
| [9] Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he. | Иные говорили: это он, а иные: похож на него. Он же говорил: это я. |
| [10] Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? | Тогда спрашивали у него: как открылись у тебя глаза? |
| [11] He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. |
