Церкви, синагоги, мечети, школы и общественные организации поддерживают бабушек и дедушек, занимающихся воспитанием внуков. Разработки находятся только на начальном уровне, но, несмотря на это, общество осознает необходимость поддержания семей, в которых старшее поколение занимается воспитанием младшего. «Осознание того факта, что здоровое общество состоит из здоровых семей» (Roe, 2000, р. 294), без сомнения, будет еще одним толчком к дальнейшему изучению проблемы воспитания внуков бабушками и дедушками.
