Ветхого Завета. Законы не всегда могут быть правильно поняты в отрыве от повествования, в которое были изначально помещены, из них могут быть «выужены» совсем не те нормы поведения. Также нельзя забывать и более поздние повествования пророков, псалмы и литературу премудрости, где можно увидеть применение законов в жизни народа. Бог «многократно и многообразно» говорил во всех Писаниях, и нам следует обратиться к ним, чтобы хорошо понимать его характер, действия и намерения, и на основании этого составлять для себя нравственную картину.
