Э. Лимонов.

Dear Sir,

I am Edward Limonov, Russian writer, novelist, the author, among the others, of "It's me, Eddie" (Random House, 1983), "His Butler's Story", and "Memoirs of Russian Punk" (Grove Press, 1987, 1990). I have spend 18 years abroad of Russia, six in the United States and later lived in France. Returned to Russia in 1992, since then I am active politician of opposition. By now I am chief of stuff of Mr. Vlasov's electoral campaign for the presidency of Russia.

The reason I am disturbing you for. I am writing you on behalf of Mr. Vlasov. In 1960-1964 Yuri Vlasov was five times havy weight champion of the world in lifting, and Olimpic champion also. Worldly acclaimed, he was admired by the Americans, Mohammed Ali and Marilyn Monroe among them. In 1961 Teenager (13 !) Arnold Schwartzenegger, acompanied by Austrian athlet, visited Vlasov in his locker room in Vienna. In 1988, when making a movie "The red heat" in Moscow, Schwartzenegger wanted to see Vlasov. They have met. Arnold signed to Vlasov as a gift his photo: "To my IDOL, Yuri Vlasov..." He named Vlasov as his guru.

What I want from you, BillBoard Magazine? I think that is too beautiful story to be missed. Politically Mr. Vlasov's conservative, patriotical views are similar to those, of Mr. Schwartzenegger. The main reason for Mr. Vlasov's running for presidency is to stop Zuganov and his communists coming to power in Russia. Help me, please, to reach Mr. Schwartzenegger. I want to invite him to Moscow, een if it is only for one day. Imagine only: together with Vlasov, Schwartzenegger gives the press-conference, untitled "Two strongest men of our planet get together to stop communists from returning to power in Russia". Imagine the headlines as such: "Schwartzenegger saves Russia from communism!" As a matter of fact it can be achieved. Appropriately supported, Mr. Vlasov can cut off from the electorate of Zuganov considerable percentage, which will be sufficient to inflict defeat of communists.
