В армии генерала Дугласа Макартура шефом разведки был Чарльз (Адольф) Уиллоуби (Вейденбах). Прослеженная Стоуном детальная хронология ранних стадий конфронтации показывает, что этот нацистский шпион ловко манипулировал событиями в Корее и сообщениями с фронта, чтобы втянуть Соединенные Штаты в “полицейскую акцию”, которая очень напоминала настоящую войну.
