SUMMARY: All types of calendars (modern and those existed before) are described in this book. Consideration is given to the future calendar reformation.
The book informs the reader of several constant calendars and the examples of using of the most sophisticated of those, which alow to determine any day of the week knowing any date of the new and old time style.
The first part of the book may serve as a kind of the introduction to the elements of the heaven sphere, to the movement laws of the Earth and the Moon, to the measurements of the different intervals of time and instruments urgent for these measurements.
THE AUTHORS: Professor Leonid Khrenov was head of the Chair of Geodesy at the Moscow Institute of Railways Transport for 25 years, he is Honorary Member of the All-Union Astronomy-Geodesy Society (he was the first vice-president of this society). He is author of more than 400 scientific publications in geodesy, astronomy, mathematics, he is author of textbooks for higher school students. His books were published in many countries (including several editions of «Six-Figure Tables of the Trigonometric Functions, Pergamon Press). Engineer-constructor Iosif Golub developed many constant table and formula calendars.
