Of course, it is necessary that the book was translated by baptized believers, as there are many difficulties of translation. For example, how to express in Thai the concept of “prayer”? Buddhists have a concept of “meditation”, which, one might say, is the opposite of the meaning of prayer, however, in the books of various Christian denominations, for example in the books of Catholics and Protestants “prayer” is translated as meditation. Prayer is something coming from us to God, that is, from the inside to outside. And if we look at all of these translations, it will be just a little different definition of meditation: from the outside inwards. The Thai people have not such conception as prayer, and we have it very difficult”.4

The Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand translated into the Thai language” The Law of God” of the Archpriest Seraphim Slobodskoy, History of the Christian Church, published the Russian-Thai and Russian-Lao prayer books, prepared for publication the prayer-book (Chasoslov) and the life of St. Sergiy of Radonezh. The translation is carried out by the Archpriest Daniel Vanna and Napatree Apichatpong in baptism Natalia.5

It is a hard and a long work. So the translation into Thai language “Law of God” of Archpriest Seraphim Slobodskoy took about three years. Jingsac Satsen, a specialist in Russian language, took part in preparing the translation, in addition to the aforementioned persons. Editing of the book was made by the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand the Archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin ).The Foundation of the Orthodox Church in Thailand took upon the organization and technical support.
According to the decision of the Committee of the Foundation of the Orthodox Church in Thailand copies of the book were sent to the universities of Thailand, where Russian language and culture are studied, to non-Orthodox educational institutions in Thailand, as well as in religious educational institutions of the Russian Orthodox Church. Orthodox Thai and locals studying catechesis will receive one free copy of the publication for preparing for the adoption of the Christening.6
