Among the educational projects realized by the Representation, you can mark the release of the newspaper “Orthodox Thailand”. It may be noted as one of the evidences of the significance of this publication that in 2014 it won a grant provided by the charitable Fund “The Russian World” in 2014. This grant, in the amount of 200,000 Thai baths, will allow the company to finance the publication of the newspaper during the year. The editorial office of the newspaper “Orthodox Thailand” is located at the Ascension Church on the island Samui (Surat Thani province) and the newspaper is published with the blessing of the Representative of the Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand the Archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin). The editor in chief is the priest Alexey Golovin. The newspaper is published once in three months with the print run of 1000 copies and distributed to Orthodox churches in Thailand.20

It was stated in the report on the activities of the Orthodox Church in Thailand for 2012: “The Representation carries out the control and administrative supervision and spiritual care for Orthodox parishes on the territory of the Kingdom of Thailand, Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao people’s Democratic Republic within the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate and defines the General concept of the development of Orthodoxy in these countries on the basis of the instructions and directions of the leaders of the Russian Orthodox Church. The Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Kingdom of Thailand is located on the base of the St. Nicholas parish, in Bangkok. There is also the head office of the Fund of the Orthodox Church in Thailand there, funding strategic tasks for the development of Orthodoxy and other Church`s needs in the countries included in the area of pastoral responsibility of the Representation. At the present time on the territory of the region of the pastoral responsibility of the Representative of the Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand there are seven Orthodox parishes under the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate, five of which are located in Thailand and two on the territory of Cambodia, as well as the Assumption monastery in the province of Ratchaburi, its status requires consideration of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church. An Orthodox cemetery is located at the Assumption monastery.21
