Наутро, собираясь ехать в центр, я просмотрел почту и обнаружил письмо от Кутика с инструкциями от Нади. Как ехать. Инструкции надо привести, потому что они демонстрируют положение, когда одна сторона все знает о ситуации, в которую попадет вторая, считает все проблемы, которые могут возникнуть, и делает все, чтобы их не было. Да, ниже упомянут отель Дрейка — накануне шла речь о том, что я мог бы туда заехать посмотреть: он старый, художественный и исторический. Стоит практически на границе даунтауна с северной стороны. Итак.
From Evanston to Drake Hotel:
1. Take the hotel to your left and walk towards Davis street.
2. When you see Davis Street, turn right.
3. Walk until Benson Street. When you see Benson, turn right.
4. Take the train towards Howard (not Linden) — Purple Line.
5. Get off at Howard and take the train towards 95th — Red Line.
6. Get off at Chicago and State Station.
7. When on Chicago Avenue, take McDonalds on your left and walk towards the lake until North Michigan Avenue.
8. When you arrive North Michigan Avenue, turn left and walk until you reach East Walton Avenue.
9. Turn right on East Walton Avenue: Drake Hotel will be on your left in 70 meters.
From Drake Hotel to Art Institute of Chicago:
1. Take the hotel to your right and walk back to North Michigan Avenue.
2. Cross the street and take the road (traffic) to your left.
3. Walk until you reach Delaware Avenue.
4. From the bus stop at the Michigan-Delaware intersection, take the bus 151 towards Union Station.
5. Get off at Michigan and Washington (it will take around 10 minutes or 9 stops).
6. Continue walking on South Michigan Avenue. The address is 111 South Michigan Avenue. (It should take you around 6 minutes to walk from the bus station to the Art Institute.)
From the Art Institute to Evanston, to your hotel:
1. Get out of Art Institute. When you are standing on South Michigan Avenue, take Art Institute on your right side.
2. Walk towards East Monroe Street. (This will be the next big street you will see after the Art Institute.)
3. Turn left on Monroe Street.
4. Walk until you reach State Street. The train station is Monroe and it will be right before the State Street.
5. Take the Red Line train towards «Howard».
6. When you reach Howard, get off the train and transfer to a Purple Line train towards «Linden».
7. Get of at Davis Station.
8. Get out of the station from the doors on the left. When you are out of the train station, you should see a bus stop. If you are not seeing the bus stop, get back in the station and get out of the doors across from you.
